Grades are a lousy way of measuring a person's level of smartness. One who scores really well in the exams could be a total idiot when it comes to handling other things that are not within the academic scope. Put them in an environment where they are constantly surrounded by mean, cunning, and fake people, can they survive? No offense here, I'm just stating a general statement, of course there will be exceptions. When there's a difference in grades, people start to compare and competition arises. I'm not saying that competition is not good, but is it that necessary? Why can't we all learn and gain new insights together instead of trying to outdo each other? Maybe it's a way for us to see the different side of people who are trying too hard to achieve what is seemingly very important to them: grades.
On my way to school this morning. Got stuck in a little jam.
Later found out that it's caused by an accident down the road.
Given my high level of curiousity I turned around to get a closer look.
And I saw there's a body covered in white sheets on the road.
It's saddening. Slightly before 9am, when it's the start of the day for everyone, it marks the end of the life for another.
Who knows that person could be someone rushing for an exam like I am.
Could be going to work.
Or could be on the way to buy breakfast for a loved one.
Life is short. Cherish what you have.
On a lighter note, exams are finally over!
Went shopping after the paper and I bought quite a lot.
Mmm.. recalling.. I bought a top from hula and co, a bag from ricks, a pair of shoes from thinkerbell, and a bracelet.
Then when Teng they all too tired to continue shopping, I went to TCC to sign my resignation form.
Looks like quite a lot of things happened while I was on my exam break, so...
